Mag Shot Duration Timer
Scientific Instruments’ QB3 measures the duration of the mag shot, using a non contact method, by actually measuring the duration of magnetic field in the coil of the mag unit.
The QB-3 shot timer can measure all AC, DC, Full Wave, Half Wave, single phase and three phase waveformsThe QB3 can accurately verify the correct shot duration of the of the mag unitts. The QB-3 probe is placed inside the coil (or in line with a cable wrap) during a magnetizing shot and shot time is captured and displayed on the LCD display. You can also use the QB-3 to measure shot time on a power pack, by placing the probe across one of the output cables.
The QB-3 can trigger and measure shot duration even as low as 50 amps, which useful for customers who magnetize small parts and must include measuring the shot time at 3 different output current ranges, which encompass the usable range, as required now by Nadcap.
